If you are a Korean Overseas then you'd better get F4 Visa.
Are your parents Koreans overseas and Foreign Citizen legally?
Then you can get F4 Visa.
And it will be more convenient for your stay here in Korea with F4 Visa.
You can go to other nations any time you want and come back to Korea freely with F4.
and It takes less documents and processing time and gives longer stay term than E2 Visa.
It even lets you work legally at multiple schools.
The Subject of Grant of overseas Koreans status (F-4)

    * Overseas Koreans with foreign nationality
      - A person who had had Korean nationality and acquired foreign nationality
      -A person whose either of parents or either of grandparents with Korean nationality acquired foreign nationality
      [the Clause 3 of the Presidential Decree for Overseas Koreans Law]

    * Minister of Justice may grant overseas Koreans status to overseas Koreans with foreign nationality by their application.
    * Exceptions
      Minister of Justice will not grant overseas Koreans status in case of occurrence of one of events set forth below. Except for the cases where overseas Koreans who are subject to the item 1 or the item 2 reach the age of 36.
          o 1. Where a man with dual nationality who was born in a foreign country and obtained foreign nationality while his immediate ascendant(s) was staying in the foreign country without intent to reside for good renounces Korean nationality to evade military service and becomes a foreigner before January 1st of the year when he reaches the age of 18 under the regulation of the former Clause 12 before reformed Regulation of No. 7499 Nationality Law is enforced.
          o 2. Where a Korean man loses his nationality and becomes a foreigner by acquiring foreign nationality for the purpose of evasion of military service.
          o 3. Where granting the status is likely to harm security, maintenance of order, public welfare, foreign relations or other interest of the Republic of Korea.

How to Apply

    * A subject may apply to the competent immigration office having jurisdiction over the place of his or her address with the documents below (agential application will not be accepted)

Required Documents

    * - Where necessary in the process of investigation, the documents may be added or subtracted. A person who had had Korean nationality and acquired foreign nationality
      - Passport
      - Application forms for granting status of stay

      - Copies of family registration, copies of original registry, or other document which proves the fact that he or she had Korean nationality.
      -Document(s) which proves the reason and month, date, and year of acquiring a foreign nationality.
      -Fee: 50,000 won (40,000 won for granting status of stay + 10,000 won for residence report)
    * A person who is a direct descendant of the person who had Korean nationality and acquired foreign nationality
      - Passport
      - Application forms for granting status of stay

      - Document which proves the fact that his or her direct ascendant was a Korean national
      - Document(s) which proves the reason and month, date, and year of acquiring a foreign nationality of himself and his immediate descendents.
      - Document which proves the relation of ascendant and descendant (birth certificate etc.)
      - Fee: 50,000 won (40,000 won for granting status of stay + 10,000 won for residence report)

Examples of Grant of Overseas Koreans status (F-4)

    * In the case a Korean national acquires spouse???s nationality by getting married to a foreigner in Korea and abandons Korean nationality, the person may apply for grant of overseas Koreans status(F-4).
